Workshop
Form and space
Locating ourselves through movement and dialogue
-
This event is about creating the space to step outside of the ways of being a body that are structured, familiar, and prescribed, to tune into our bodily voice, and practice moving in a way that feels authentic, giving unexplored or unexpressed places inside of us form through our movement and words. This is two hours of free movement (ecstatic dance), writing, and group sharing.
For those of you new to free movement, the purpose of this is choice and bodily autonomy while engaging with movement to play, express, and experience your bodily wisdom. You get to choose how you want to move your body. If that means laying down and listening to the music, connecting to your wild self, or waltzing your inner critic back and forth, all of it is just as it, just as it should be.
This is a space for you to practice moving how you want to move, and then have time to write and verbally integrate the experiences you have. Writing and dialogue prompts for integration will be offered.

Heartbreak / Heartbeat
Moving through grief together, a collective movement practice
-
This is an online communal movement event for us to gather to move our pain together. There is no preparation, obligation, expectation, or skill required. You can come as you are, and we will move through our pain together. Bring water, have space to move, and wear comfortable clothing. All levels of ability, all depths of pain, all bodies are welcome.
After a check in, I will guide us through a body based practice to help us release and express our pain and connect to the beating heart under it all. We will check out and end within an hour. Come ready to move, bring water or your journal and have good speakers as we will be moving to music.
No fee, no obligation, no expectation, no registration. Online only over Zoom.
